DIGITAL MARKETING SPECIALIST

As a member of the marketing team, this role implements, manages and analyzes CPL’s online marketing efforts, providing recommendations for process improvement where needed.

THE DIGITAL MARKETING SPECIALIST AT CPL

The Digital Marketing Specialist is primarily responsible for organizing social media sites, sharing online content, analyzing and staying apprised of current digital marketing trends, monitoring e-mail marketing campaigns and reporting on website analytics.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you have ample experience working with content management systems and possess top-notch analytical and critical thinking skills. You play an essential part in driving CPL’s digital narrative, enhancing the firm’s online presence and encouraging strategic business growth through effective campaigns. A builder of scalable solutions, you find joy in problem solving, and your ability to marry strategy and creativity with any task thrown your way is one of your key strengths as a digital marketer.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • You have a thorough comprehension of most current social media platforms, as well as their effectiveness in promoting services and messaging concepts to targeted audiences
  • You have experience developing short-form content, ideally in the social media space
  • You’re familiar with HTML and CSS
  • You understand standard web performance reporting metrics as demonstrated by statistical and relational trend calculations (i.e., % change, MoM, YoY, QoQ, future projections, etc.)
  • You’re well-versed in the world of marketing automation, with an acute understanding of SEO and SEM processes
  • You can quantify and analyze campaign results, identifying ways to improve or increase the success of CPL’s marketing efforts
  • You apply exceptional technical skills towards making informed, data-driven decisions
  • You earned a BA (or MA) in marketing or a related field (preferably with a specialty in digital and social marketing analytics) and have at least four (4) years of marketing experience
  • You have experience working with social media management platforms (i.e., HubSpot, Sprout, etc.) as well as email marketing platforms (i.e., MailChimp) and marketing automation (scheduling and drip)
  • You also have experience with CRM integration and reporting tools, including Excel/Tableau, Google Analytics, Facebook Ad Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, etc.
  • Basic web coding knowledge is a major plus

CORE DUTIES

  • Work closely with internal teams to assist in the planning and execution of all digital marketing strategies, including social media, lead generation funnels, SEO/SEM, email campaigns and paid advertising
  • Inform and assist in the development of digital and content marketing strategies for the CPL brand and each practice area, resulting in high engagement and performance
  • Develop social media content across all active platforms based on the established content strategies
  • Research and actively analyze various types of digital content, including social media posts, blogs, advertising captions, landing pages and emails
  • Assist in reporting performance of all digital and content marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Utilize strong analytical skills to evaluate end-to-end client experiences across multiple digital channels and client touchpoints
  • Stay updated regarding changes to social platforms and current trends to ensure maximum effectiveness
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge and understanding of SEP, keyword research and Google Analytics
  • Continually raise the bar in creating visualizations to support the presentation of web analytics and performance metrics
  • Manage social media channels by overseeing account layouts, creating and executing posts to sustain curiosity and drive traffic to website – and subsequently, monitoring engagement
  • Monitor social media metrics on Sprout and Vimeo
  • Actively participate in the development and execution of social media strategies
  • Execute email marketing strategies that include a nurturing approach and database segmentation
  • Oversee marketing automation systems, including campaign scheduling, tracking and reporting, and subsequently optimize technology stack
  • Manage company website by ensuring all content is up to date and aligned with SEO best practices
  • Track website metrics and measure the success of specific web landing pages
  • Collect and analyze data on campaign performances, social media strategies and activities and web behaviors to identify opportunities
  • Create dashboards and data visualization reports to communicate learnings and insights to colleagues, stakeholders and members of the leadership team
