OBJECTIVE

To serve as a digital marketing specialist for Michigan Farm Bureau. To coordinate, publish, and format content for Michigan Farm Bureau websites. To serve as the strategic and technical lead of Michigan Farm Bureau email marketing efforts. To review analytics and provide strategic recommendations for how to best leverage digital tools. To provide digital assistance and support for all Michigan Farm Bureau (MFB) centers and divisions and county Farm Bureau staff, with centralized operations in the Center for Marketing and Media.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as MFB representative for technical issues, errors, and updates on all web platforms. Work directly with contracted web vendors alongside the Farm Bureau Insurance Applications Software Development Manager to identify issues, submit service tickets, discuss assistance needed, and monitor progress. Provide progress reports to business owners and stakeholders.

Serve as lead coordinator for loading, updating, and formatting content for the Michigan Farm Bureau and Michigan Farm News websites. Support the Digital Editor in a technical capacity. Work directly with business owners and stakeholders to make needed web changes while maintaining organization branding, visual requirements, and digital best practices. Train staff in updating website material as needed.

Serve as strategic and technical lead on all MFB email marketing efforts (Informz). Work directly with Higher Logic consultant to integrate email marketing best practices into MFB digital communications. Provide email communication functionality support for MFB and county Farm Bureau staff, including maintaining branded Informz templates, loading custom recipient lists, developing and distributing emails, providing email analytic reports, and providing data-driven content, delivery, and design recommendations.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED: Associate’s degree required, or equivalent experience may be considered. Knowledge of content management systems required. Proficiency in software applications including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required. Minimum one-year experience loading content in a content management system required. Ability to provide design consultation on multiple media platforms such as print, web, and mobile required.

PREFERRED: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience with streaming media preferred.
