Eaton’s Electrical Division is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. This position is based in Fayetteville, NC.

Position Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst will Provide professional accounting services, which involve the application of established accounting principles, theories, and concepts to carry out daily operations. Compute and prepare reports, worksheets and analyses. Duties involve a variety of accounting functions.

In This Function You Will

  • Support monthly closing, forecasting process, and annual planning processes. Participate and assist in annual Physical Inventory, Cost Roll, & LIFO activities. Lead and perform special projects as needed.
  • Provide financial analysis and assistance to the Accounting Manager and the Plant Controller through an in-depth understanding of company accounting policies and practices and business operations. Provide information and assistance to other departments within the organization regarding these financials. Assume role of trainer in the financial matters, policies, and procedures within the organization.
  • Apply generally accepted accounting principles and techniques in all tasks performed. Point out suspected areas of deviations and non-compliance to management for correction.
  • Maintain and analyze monthly entries to budgets and balance sheet accounts which include the processing of accounting entries and the analysis of charges for accuracy and correctness of account distribution.
  • Focus on continuous business process improvements, challenge current processes/procedures to determine if improvements are a potential and consequently implement process improvements.
  • Develop familiarity with local ERP systems and demonstrate cognitive understanding of their relationship to business processes, specifically financial transactions. Familiarity within AS/400, Oracle, and Khalix environments is a plus.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis as required by the Accounting Manager, Controller, or Staff.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum three years of accounting and/or Finance experience
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate-level degree in Accounting, Business or related field from an accredited institution
  • Experience in a manufacturing or similar industrial environment, supporting leaders of people
  • Position Criteria
  • Must be able to express ideas and concepts in a clear and concise manner, verbally as well as written. Persuading, explaining, and negotiating are skills that are used every day in the execution of the duties of a Sr. Financial Analyst.
  • Superior Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
