JOB SUMMARY

KPVI Channel 6 in Pocatello, Idaho has an opening for a Full-Time, Sports Journalist at our NBC station. The ideal candidate must be organized, participates in the planning and production of daily content for on-air and online. Must possess a winning attitude and a willingness to learn. Must be comfortable with social media and be able to engage with the public. Sports knowledge is also necessary.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Journalism or a relative field is preferred
• Organized, confident, with attention to detail
• Reliable, polite, punctual, team player
• A motivated self-starter
• Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

• Turn sports-related stories for news programs and online
• Interact with local and regional teams
• Familiarity with digital production software
• Work with Producer/Director/News staff on planning and execution of content
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds of equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned
