What You’ll Do

You’d be joining the founding members with a goal of ultimately ensuring a smooth launch date in Spring 2022. The first 30 days for all hires will consist of data entry and/or data analysis, however new hires will branch off to the following respective positions that they applied during the remaining 60 days:

The Social Media Strategist & Marketing Coordinator develops, implements, and manages the social media strategy and content for myBalbo’s official social media platforms, supporting the brand strategy, business and communications and marketing goals. Manages multiple social media platforms to maximize the potential of each social channel, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube and others. Responsible for responding to comments and questions from social media followers with accuracy, professionalism and timeliness. Monitors and analyzes social media performance across channels to determine the effectiveness and improve brand strategy. Collaborates on marketing strategies and executes digital advertising campaigns. Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Pursuing (or have) a degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field or at least two years of social media management, digital communications, marketing or public relations experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of and experience in the use of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube and online design tools (ex. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge in cross-platform social media management tools (i.e. AgoraPulse, Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Organized and self-motivated

20 hours/week @ $18/hour


3 months, however could be extended and become permanent
