The Boeings F/A-18 Finance team is looking for a Senior Financial Controls Analyst to join the Boeing Global Services (BGS) Strike & Surveillance Division Finance team in Hazelwood, Missouri.

This position will work directly with the BGS F/A-18 Senior Program Managers and Business Managers to effectively manage the cost and schedule baselines, Estimates at Completion (EACs), performance and variance reporting, monthly financial profit and loss forecasts and annual long range business plans, and associated opportunities and risks analysis.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop resource forecasts and/or Estimates at Completion (EACs) for control accounts, budgets, functions or pools; financial EACs for contracts or programs.
  • Initiates analysis of: resource forecasts and/or control account EACs; financial EACs.
  • Compiles data from multiple sources and develops performance reports.
  • Initiates variance analyses and provides an understanding of operational and financial performance to management.
  • Makes recommendations to management on financial performance projections using financial and business knowledge and experience.
  • Develops, reviews, analyzes and maintains cost and/or schedule performance measurement baselines, including earned value, and variance analyses and communicates cost and/or schedule trends.
  • Develops business cases using appropriate indices.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the listed location.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R.

120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a finance-related position such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Accounting, Estimating, Financial Planning, Contracts or Procurement Financial Analysis (PFA)
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate data in Senior Leadership briefings
  • Ability to work in virtual/telecommuting (hybrid) and an office setting
  • Ability to work in all of the locations listed in this job as needed

Preferred Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Experience creating and analyzing data to identify data trends and communicate a story to depict findings
  • Experience with PowerPoint and Excel for data analysis and presentations
  • Experience performing financial analysis for the purposes of decision making
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, time management, and workload prioritization skills

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years’ related work experience, 14 years’ related work experience, etc.)
