Senior Digital Marketing Manager (Remote)

TrueCar is looking for a results-driven Senior Digital Marketing Manager to accelerate growth through key channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Display, Youtube, and other emerging digital acquisition channels. Working within the Growth Marketing team, this individual will be responsible for campaign strategy, tactical optimization, multi-channel reporting, and attribution, while also collaborating closely with other Growth Marketing managers to ensure uniformity and quick adoption of successful strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background directly managing direct-response, paid digital campaigns with a focus on acquiring new customers for e-commerce brands. To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be extremely data-driven, creative, highly motivated, have exceptional analytical skills, and a competitive attitude.


  • Build and execute a best-in-class digital strategy for paid social and programmatic display to achieve TrueCar’s consumer acquisition goals — this role will focus heavily on performance/growth centric marketing
  • Manage audiences, creatives, budget and bidding strategies to maximize efficiency for owned programs; including technical setup of experiments and analysis of results in conjunction with cross-functional teams across the organization
  • Maintain a data-driven approach through continual experimentation and optimization to exceed aggressive company goals; utilize a strong background in experiment design and evaluation
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Analytics teams to build features and creatives that that drive results
  • Collaborate with channel leaders across other key acquisition channels to ensure alignment, and find opportunities to accelerate overall business growth
  • Research and evaluate growth opportunities, prioritize the most impactful projects, and evaluate engineering and data science technical requirements for projects
  • Be an end-to-end channel owner which includes tracking, measurement, attribution, optimization and automation


  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Marketing, Business or Finance
  • 7+ years of experience (agency or in-house) leading social marketing programs that drive business and/or growth results
  • At least one year of management experience
  • Experience managing significant marketing budgets (no less than $3m annually)
  • Deep understanding of bidding, targeting, creative, audience and platform optimization capabilities
  • Well-versed in web analytics, cross-channel attribution, and relevant channel ad managers
  • Proven success with direct response and e-commerce brands or companies
  • Extensive knowledge of the social landscape with a passion for creating fresh ideas
  • You have the ability to effectively communicate and build trust with senior executives and drive alignment with cross-functional teams
  • Confident leading an iterative, test and learn approach
  • Experience with Facebook Marketing Partners (ie not required, but highly preferred
  • Experience with Multi-Touch attribution partners not required, but highly preferred
