We are looking for an experienced Finance/Accounting professional to interact with operational department(s) to review and implement process efficiencies. This associate will provide expert assistance in meeting accounting and finance requirements of Burlington as well as to provide assistance in identifying efficiency and effectiveness opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Finance/Accounting Tasks for Supported Department(s) – take a lead role in monthly re-forecasting process, budget preparation, accruals, general ledger coding, SG&A analysis, and weekly Finance updates.
  • Preparation of the monthly re-forecast, development of sub-schedules, and take a lead role during the re-forecast meeting.
  • Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the financials for the department(s) to ensure proper capitalization, accruals, and general ledger coding.
  • Capex/Expense Budget & Tracking – work with supported department(s) with both Capital and Expense budgets to develop budget assumptions, monthly tracking, and analysis.
  • Position will gain understanding of all general ledger accounts charged to by the department(s) supported to understand and document all variances to Plan and partner with department(s) to ensure Plan commitments are realized.
  • Develop/Improve Business Reporting & Processes – develop better business reporting/financial tools and review current processes for improvement. This role will include both heavy analytics and creation of summary level reports for the department(s) supported to provide them the tools necessary to run the business.
  • Performance Improvement Contribution (PIC) – Identify, execute, and/or support PIC initiatives. Respond to the needs of the Company by identifying and realizing additional expense/capital saving practices.
  • Special Projects – complete special projects as given by CFO/CAO, Sr. Mgt., and Director-Business Support

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance required; MBA a plus
Minimum 4-8 years related Accounting/Finance – preference is 10+ yrs
Advanced Excel user, proficiency in computerized accounting applications
