Using analytics to inform how you write headlines, suggest content ideas and curate newsletters to better connect with audiences.
Key attributes of a candidate:
Grammatical precision and a knack for spotting holes in stories and anticipating reader questions.
Excellent news judgment and an awareness of how to use audience metrics to determine the types of stories that appeal to North Texas readers.
An understanding of SEO best practices and the ability to write enticing headlines.
Strong communication, organizational and time management skills.
The ability to adapt quickly to changing technologies and workflows, and juggle multiple assignments.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field; will consider additional experience in lieu of education.
Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in a newsroom.
The ability to work daytime hours Monday through Friday for up to 28 hours per week. Work will be performed remotely, but preference will be given to applicants who are based in or familiar with North Texas.
