TCPalm and Treasure Coast Newspapers, part of the USA TODAY NETWORK, seeks a savvy, curious and forward-thinking journalist who can dig fast and deep into the question of how politics affect our everyday health, wealth and well-being. We don’t chase politicians and steno what they say; we eschew gossip and grandstanding; and we don’t let them, their tweets or their press releases set the agenda. We take an enterprise approach that analyzes, investigates and objectively holds them accountable for whether they’re serving our communities’ best interests.

Heading into the 2020 election, there’s never been a better time to have a political focus and serve a local audience, statewide readers as well as the USA TODAY NETWORK, with five other digitally-focused newsrooms across Florida.

The ideal candidate has at least 1-3 years of professional experience in a daily newsroom and a track record of strong enterprise, analysis and investigative work, preferably with a political focus.

Data experience and innovative storytelling is a plus.
