Full Job Description

The Bismarck Tribune has an immediate opening for a
multimedia sports journalist. The ideal candidate will be adept at covering a
wide range of events and meeting tight deadlines.

The Tribune covers six local high schools, three colleges
along with auto racing, junior hockey, a Northwoods League baseball team and an
Indoor Football League team. We also cover numerous area high schools.
Candidates need to be digital savvy. The job involves writing for print and
digital products, producing video and doing desk work.

Bismarck is North Dakota’s capital and the state’s
second-largest city. It’s home to many state tournaments, providing a variety
of important events to cover. Bismarck and neighboring Mandan are along the
Missouri River with miles of trails for outdoor activities along with a growing
food and culture scene. The region also offers prime hunting and fishing
opportunities. Bismarck-Mandan is a fun place to live and work with the
amenities of a big city without the traffic and high cost of living.
