Who we are looking for
The Nike Intelligence Center (NIC) seeks a high-reaching and curious professional to support the research and production of enterprise intelligence products. As the Nike Intelligence Center Research Manager, you will have the opportunity to impress your exceptional writing and critical thinking skills, strong understanding of global affairs, and passion for the Nike brand to drive insights and connect dots for Nike, Inc. partners.
What will you work on
As a Research Manager, you will bring your broad set of knowledge to research and report on global affairs and incidents with a focus on their potential or actual impacts to Nike, Inc. Your research reports may be deep and forward-looking or concise and in direct response to an incident as it is unfolding. You will bring your exceptional communications skills to assist with the production of written reports or verbal briefings ensuring they meet our partner’s requirements and provides actionable insights. You will assist with the development of analytical, research methodologies and best core of action to be applied by the entire NIC team. You will ensure all of this work is done in close collaboration with other members of the NIC and relevant partners in various corners of the company.
Who will you work with
The NIC provides intelligence that serves enterprise decision-makers and is comprised of professionals with a broad spectrum of experiences. The NIC is part of the Resilience organization which, led by Nike’s Chief Security Officer, helps make Nike stronger. We cut through the noise and the spin to determine what is affecting Nike, and highlight where we need to focus our attention during turbulent times. In addition to our partners in Resilience, you will work with a broad swath of partners and subject matter experts determined by the topic of discussion.
What Will You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in international affairs, economics, journalism, political science, business administration, or a related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience and training
- An advanced degree is international affairs, business administration, journalism, law, or a related discipline is preferred
- 5+ years’ experience in research, journalism, academia, and/or business operations is highly desired
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment, including working on-call outside of normal business hours, as necessary
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with a Fortune 500 company is a plus
- A strong understanding of quantitative analysis and data-driven communications is a plus
- Project or program management experience is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office applications is required
- Fluently read, speak and write the English language is required
- Fluently read, speak and write the additional language(s) a plus
- Overseas professional or educational experience a plus
