The Financial Reporting Analyst position will be a dynamic role within a fast-moving organization and environment. This individual will be a key member of the team responsible for providing timely and accurate financial data. The role will be primarily focused in financial reporting, but will also include responsibilities for acquisition due diligence, purchase accounting, month-end close and ad hoc analysis. This position requires an experienced, strategic, and technical self-starter with the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks, projects, and changing priorities

Essential Job Functions

  • Assist with compilation of annual and quarterly financial statement drafts, updating disclosures for the current reporting period and maintaining supporting documentation.
  • Assist the accounting team in the monthly close process and the preparation of monthly financial statements and operational reports.
  • Creates and/or improves the accounting and reporting processes; recommends enhancements or improvements to improve the effectiveness of reporting team.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial and business analyses.
  • Prepare the monthly KPI reports.
  • Assist in maintaining the financial records of several subsidiary entities.
  • Record monthly journal entries, including preparation of related supporting schedules and account reconciliations, as needed.
  • Reconcile intercompany accounts, and ensure intercompany balances are properly eliminated on a consolidated basis.
  • Assist in the financial analysis of target acquisition companies and the subsequent purchase accounting related to acquisitions.
  • Research accounting and disclosure topics and assist in drafting memos as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA or CPA eligible preferred
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience
  • High capacity for strategic thought and the ability to solve business issues
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office products, especially Excel
  • Personable, organized, & attention to detail
  • Must demonstrate that you can work in a hands-on, team-driven environment and is adaptable to explosive growth
