At Houston Methodist, the Director of Digital Marketing position is responsible for driving digital brand strategy, planning and execution. This entails providing a positive customer experience, elevating the brand and promoting lead generation and retention. The Director leverages research and analytics to make data-driven decisions, and provide digital strategies for overall brand and services lines.

The Director position responsibilities include overseeing the activities of the department staff, ensuring quality, productivity, functional excellence and efficiency to accomplish strategic and operational objectives. In addition, this position is accountable for employee engagement, adequate staffing levels, budget development and compliance, staffing decisions such as hiring and terminating employment, coaching and counseling employees on work related performance, and developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure a safe and effective work environment. This position also ensures training, monitoring and operations initiatives are implemented which secure compliance with ethical and legal business practices and accreditation/regulatory/government regulations.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s degree in marketing, business or related field required

Experience Requirements

10 years experience in digital marketing strategy and/or channel management, three of which must be within an organization of comparable size and complexity and five years in a Supervisor/Manager or Director role.
For Houston Methodist employees three years management experience that demonstrates leadership responsibility.
