Position Summary:

Paul Smith’s College is seeking an experienced, talented, and energetic Digital Content Specialist to support its Marketing and Communications team in executing the college’s marketing initiatives. Using a combination of content development, data analysis and reporting skills, the Specialist will assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the College website and email marketing while providing support for other channels. This position is responsible for implementation and continued improvement of a comprehensive, dynamic website and digital content. The successful candidate will be a creative professional skilled in website maintenance and development with an understanding of the higher education environment while having a pulse on emerging technologies and best practices.

Preferred Experience:

  • Paid marketing channels and technologies, including paid search (Google Ads)
  • Strategy, planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns in collaboration with a marketing team
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Google analytics, keyword research and SEO
  • Familiarity with Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster tools
  • Demonstrated knowledge of website management tools and content management systems such as WordPress
  • Analyzing and creating reports
  • Familiarity with HTML and CSS
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Understanding of AP Stylebook and journalism styles
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and work across multiple teams and skill levels with a positive and cultivating attitude
  • Desire and ability to learn new things, creatively problem solve and be agile and flexible
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a dynamic team, mentor others and succeed in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Time management, multi-tasking and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with higher education

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications related field, liberal arts, business
  • Minimum 4 years of related experience in a professional setting
