The mission of the OpFocus Content Marketing Specialist is to fuel the locomotive for OpFocus’ 30% YoY growth, generate demand from target accounts, assist sales in driving bookings, and shape OpFocus as a trusted voice for revenue operations. You will own the creation and direction of all content marketing initiatives across multiple platforms and formats. Your work will increase website traffic and drive digital engagement, qualified demand generation, deal acceleration, and customer retention. You are interested in helping us refine our brand story and developing consistency for our brand’s storytelling.

On a day-to-day basis, you lead the development of our content initiatives with a publisher/journalist mindset, in all forms, to drive new business and cultivate new opportunities with our current client base.

Specifically, this role requires excellent written & oral communication, strong hands-on execution and project management, and attention to detail while under deadline. An ideal candidate is resourceful in sharing OpFocus’ prescription for revenue operations, motivated to generate demand from the SaaS community, and can create messaging that resonates with executive decision makers. The right candidate will also have the heart of a teacher, with a love of learning, writing, and communicating in all forms. You see the value of every person on our team and put them at ease, empowering them to tell their stories to our audience.

Finally, you obsess over content performance, reporting, and analytics – the success of the role is governed by scorecards, KPIs, and deliverables. You also enjoy working as part of a self-motivated, remote team, manage your priorities and time well, and make good use of OpFocus’ unlimited PTO policy and sabbatical program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prioritize, write, edit, publish, and measure ROI for 2-3 pieces of written and/or video blogs a week to support demand generation, deal acceleration, and customer upsell
  • In collaboration with sales, produce email & social copy for channel and ABM demand generation programs
  • Coordinate & project manage vendors to develop video testimonials and case studies
  • Work with OpFocus Practice Leads to craft solution collateral, corporate presentations, and services messaging
  • Measure content effectiveness and ROI using Salesforce, Pardot, InsightSquared, Google Analytics, Vidyard, and other tools, and communicate results

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations or related communications field
  • Impeccable writing and editorial skills, with an outstanding command of the English language
  • The ability to think like an educator, intuitively understanding what the audience needs to know and how they want to consume it
  • Exceptional project management & interpersonal communication skills to manage editorial schedules and deadlines within corporate and ongoing campaigns
  • Self-directed – strong organizational, time, and personal management skills
  • Familiarity with principles of B2B marketing
  • Clear articulation of the business goal behind the creation of a piece (or series) of content
  • A passion for learning the latest technology and use of those tools for your content & promotions
  • An understanding of common editorial style guides, e.g. AP, Chicago, MLA, etc.

Desired Qualities

  • Training as a print or broadcast journalist; great at telling a story using words, images, or audio, and an understanding of how to create content that draws an audience
  • Familiarity with B2B demand generation campaigns
  • Familiarity with reporting for content effectiveness, using Excel and BI tools
  • Account-based marketing experience
  • Experience working with or marketing to SaaS companies
