Longterm content creators at BryantBeef are a key part of our on and off site content workflow, crafting a variety of written pieces including buying guides, online product and service advice, case studies, relevant industry news including local and Reigonal. SEO and website presence/ modifications and add ons, following house style guide lines used to direct the work. Graphics editing, video editing, voice edits, podcast rehearsal and live work, photography work, recording, documenting, product preparing raw and/or cooked.

This work may require outreach via email and occasional phone interviews to enhance topics with expert knowledge and attributed quotes/input studies. This position requires daily use of WordPress, creating and running a in-house content management system, an online project management system.

Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint are your friends.. Longterm content creators are expected to work collaboratively and execute their specific projects with attention to detail. High levels of accuracy on company media face/online projection, goals of advertisements, and information given. Work hours are subject to the Project management calendars Demands.

Responsibilities

General:

  • Content editing and creating
  • SEO and website modification and additions guided by company and advisers
  • Apply basic HTML knowledge to format pieces for audience engagement
  • Complete tasks assigned through project management system within deadlines
  • Adhere to established project workflows and expectations for style, formatting, and publishing approved works
  • Work within company’s content management system to upload and manage projects

  • Participate in weekly discussions with written content teams- product, longform and editorial- that drive content calendar and produce collaborative style decisions
  • Participate in peer editing of longterm and short term content, including ensuring a professional, readable style with structure and accuracy of details
  • Contribute to ongoing development and updating of house style guide
  • Work intensively in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Woocommerce and Google docs
  • Develop excellent working relationships with other members of content teams.
  • Requires regular and predictable attendance
  • All other duties as assigned

Technical Content:

  • Buying guides, use and maintenance recommendations, case studies and industry information pieces
  • Actively participate in regular on-site and occasional off-site, multi-day trainings/certifications if needed, engaging in conversations and taking notes
  • Implement information gained from trainings in content
  • In collaboration with other writers and with direction from content manager, propose article topics based on industry knowledge information from trainings and foodservice news
  • Use keyword development tools in brainstorming topics and to establish target keywords for each article
  • Create articles and participate in peer editing process for them
  • Upload content using WordPress, ensuring content is housed in the appropriate silo(s)
  • Upload content using our in-house content management system
  • Ensure completed projects are uploaded correctly only after being approved by Alex, checking published work for any errors and correcting errors if found.
  • Use available resources- company experts, industry resources and vendor websites- to gain understanding of products and categories to ensure accuracy of content
  • Craft and participate in peer editing of category and Endleaf content, PowerPoint demonstrations.
  • Stay informed on new and established concepts in foodservice, monitoring for potential topics
  • Research human interest stories, news and trends, and other industry topics, including through outreach to business owners and industry professionals through email and phone interviews
  • Craft posts and participate in peer editing
  • Collaborate with designers on creation of graphics for articles

Minimum Qualifications (knowledge, skills & abilities)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability felt needed unless otherwise accepted by Alex.

Education and/or experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism or a related field, with at least 2 years of professional editorial experience or a combination of education and experience deemed equivalent by management
  • Firm grasp of AP Stylebook precepts
  • Flexibility to adapt to the ever-changing requirements of SEO
  • Willingness to learn and implement basic HTML, if not already familiar
  • Interest in learning and applying knowledge in work
  • Advanced computer skills, including in use of Microsoft suite and internet navigation
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables

  • Work Environment: The duties of this job are subject to the climate. The noise level in the work environment is also dependent of location Per specific project. Work is typically completed in an office.
