Summary

Serve as the headquarters-based support contact for the US Sysco Business Unit. This role works across all functional disciplines within McCain, serving as the voice of the customer to maximize value to Sysco and ensure business needs are met. Internally, the role will report to the VP of Business Development and assist with business performance reporting, customer projects & initiatives and the development of selling resources. Externally, the role will work to develop relationships with the Sysco business center stakeholders to strengthen partnership and meet performance expectations.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Analyze, track business and financial performance as well as competitive intelligence; work collaboratively with VP and Category Management analysts to derive business-building insights to inform category planning, growth programs, business reviews and lead generation.
  • Responsible for monthly reporting on progress vs. annual business objectives, including success drivers and action plans against any and all business opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with Sysco sales team, Category Management analysts and Customer Marketing to gather and leverage market-specific insights to identify new customer and conversion targets as well as menu penetration opportunities; develop sales tools to enable flawless execution and exceed performance objectives.
  • Develop Sysco-specific sales communications to inform on annual and/or quarterly performance objectives and initiatives; ensure that Sysco-specific agency resources (brokers) are equipped with appropriate selling tools for execution.
  • Ensure appropriate communication and engagement of greater McCain Field Sales to ensure alignment and focus against shared Sysco volume and financial objectives.
  • Responsible for analysis and refinement of Customer Relationship Management (Salesforce/CRM) related data and projects
  • Support McCain/Sysco Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process, scorecard and action register to ensure mutually agreed objectives, expectations are met.
  • Build relationships with key Sysco business center stakeholders to increase influence on category planning, innovation and sales activation; provide ad hoc support as requested.
  • Support VP as necessary for Sysco headquarter calls, market-level business reviews, and local intelligence.
  • Manage T&E budget for travel and entertainment to stay within annual budget.
  • Travel up to 30% in market required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors or advanced degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (MBA strongly preferred)
  • 10 years of Foodservice experience is required.
  • Sales experience with major local distribution accounts and/or buying group members desired.
  • The customer-focused mindset with a proven track record of success
  • Proven analytical and data interpretation skills including ability to review, interpret and action data
  • Excellent, proven written and oral communication skills
  • Results-oriented self-starter, possessing strong motivation and collaboration skills
  • CRM system experience strongly desired

Must be proficient in the use of computers for Word and Excel (spreadsheets), Microsoft Outlook, and PowerPoint Presentations.
