General Summary

This position will be primarily responsible for supporting the preparation of the quarterly/annual IFRS & US GAAP financial statements, footnote disclosures, related analysis and other external reporting. This position will be the primary contact within the team for the Company bond offerings and other debt issuances. This position will have ownership of the auditor requests and assist with the audit and attest work performed by the Company’s external auditors. This position is also responsible for month-end close, analytics and reconciliation of the allowance for loan and lease loss in partnership with Risk teams for US GAAP, and the month-end close, analytics and reconciliations for IFRS.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Participates in production of quarterly and annual financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A. Works directly with external auditors and upper management to support all aspect of financial reporting.
• Participates in the external audit and attest work, documenting key accounting positions and policies for auditors, and coordinating requests from the audit staff.
• Participates in month-end US GAAP and IFRS close procedures including, but not limited to, J/E posting and/or review, GL accounts reconciliations, various financial statement analyses to ensure all transactions are being recorded/reconciled properly, accurately and in a timely manner.
• Supports the preparation of the financial portion of all annual compliance reporting and MTN reports.
• All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge And Skills

• Good Writing skills (communication in emails and drafting company procedures)
• Solid understanding and application of U.S. GAAP (applying accounting principles to daily work) and the ability to perform research on proper accounting principle per U.S. GAAP as needed
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Word
• Good working knowledge in using Oracle ERP and in creating OBIEE and Brio inquiries is desired
• Highly self-motivated
• 3+ years of accounting or finance experience
• Bachelor degree in accounting/finance required
• Prior public accounting and/or auto captive finance industry experience strongly desired
• Physical Requirements And Working Condition

Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment.
